Nasser Al-Shamli has a masters in Clinical Optometry from University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia ), Ex-Head of Optometry Department , Armed Forces Hospital (Muscat,Oman ), CEO New Vision Medical Supplies and Optical Group( Oman) , Speciality contact lens expert and Keratoconus management specialist, , member of WCO, AOA , IACLE .

Dr. Yazan Gammoh


Dr. Yazan Gammoh, a Jordanian optometrist holds a PhD in Optometry & Vision Science and an MSc in Optometry from the University of Bradford, UK. Dr. Gammoh is a Fellow of IACLE and IACLE Educator of the Year 2017 for Europe, Africa and Middle East.Yazan is the chairman of optometry department at Ahliyya Amman University, Amman, Jordan and a senior optometrist at Arab East Medical Supply. In addition, he acts as a consultant for Lions Clubs Jordan for eye health care. Yazan’ main clinical interests are management of keratoconus using scleral lenses and low vision rehabilitation.

Harith AlHasani


Harith AlHasani is a seasoned Senior Optometrist, a graduate of Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. With a rich professional history spanning two decades at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and private practice at Oman International Hospital, he brings a wealth of experience to the field. Harith has played key roles as a former Board member of Oman Ophthalmic Society and is currently serving as a board member of Oman Optometry Club.

Ahmad Tairi has a MSc Optometry, Vice President of the Saudi Society of Optometry (SSO) ,Past president of the East Mediterranean Council of Optometry (EMCO), Training and Development manager in Magrabi retail, KSA. Member of the consultant committee of the Optometry department, college of applied medical science, King Saud University.

Dr. Mosaad Alhassan


Dr . Alhassan is an Assistant professor, Department of Optometry – King Saud University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in optometry from King Saud University in 2008. In 2013, he graduated with Master’s degree in Vision Science, then in 2018 he graduated with PhD in Vision Science from School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of Waterloo, Canada. In 2021, He earned the American Academy of Optometry Fellowship (FAAO). He is also interested in field of binocular vision disorders and visual neurosciences.

Dr. Khaled Alzahrani


consultant optometrist and the head of the optometry department at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital. I have an MSc , PhD in clinical optometry from the University of Manchester. I am a board member of the Saudi Society of Optometry, the head of the research committee, and a member of the scientific committee.

Ameer Abou Adela


Ameer Abou Adela is an esteemed Optometrist and accomplished business professional. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Optics & Optometry from the American University of Science and Technology, an MBA from Sagesse University, and pursuing a PhD in Optometry at Kwazulu-Natal University, Ameer boasts a strong academic foundation. With 8 years of experience, he excelled as Chief Optometrist at the Lebanese American University Medical Center (LAUMC). Currently, he mentors in the Optometry Program in Advocacy and Leadership (OPAL) and serves as Ophthalmic Photographer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD). Ameer is the visionary founder and president of Vision Care Association (VCA), advocating for Optometry professionals and elevating eye care standards. Ameer Serves as Chair of Medica and Public relation committee at EMCO. He's a member of the Public Health Committee at the World Council of Optometry (WCO), and in 2023, received the Young Leader Award from WCO, solidifying his impact in Optometry and public eye health.
